You do not need to get fit before you start. Our beginner classes (Level 1, Stretch + Recover classes) are designed to meet you where you’re at and help you build strength, confidence and fitness progressively
We welcome beginners every day at Pilates Haus. Our trainers will guide you through the class, give you options and help you choose the level that feels right for your body.
Flexibility is not a prerequisite for Pilates. Our classes focus on building strength and improving the way your body moves. Mobility and flexibility can improve along the way, but you start exactly where your body is today
It can look a little intimidating when you’ve never used one before, but your trainer will show you how the Reformer works, help you with your springs and guide you through the class.
Give yourself a couple of classes to get familiar with it. Before long, changing springs and moving around the Reformer will feel completely normal.
No. Everyone in the room has started as a beginner, and most people are focused on themselves.
Our trainers will coach you throughout the class and give you different options where needed. Even our most experienced members are still being coached, challenged and learning.
Helping you is our job! Our trainers are there to coach you through your class, help with your springs, explain movements, offer options and make sure you feel confident in what you’re doing.
If you’re new, let your trainer know when you arrive so they can give you a little extra guidance while you get familiar with the Reformer
Our studios have 11–17 Reformers, depending on the location. We love the energy of a fuller room! When you’re new, we’ll often buddy you next to a more experienced member, so you have someone to follow while you find your feet.
Your trainer is there to guide you from start to finish.
Classes are 50 minutes. It's time set aside for you, no phone, no to-do list. Focus on yourself, move your body and build strength
Comfortable activewear that you can move freely in. There’s no need for anything fancy. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to move.
Bring a water bottle and socks. If you don’t have grip socks, no problem. We sell them at the studio for $20.
Yes, socks are required for Reformer classes. If you don’t have a pair, you can purchase them at the studio before your class.
We recommend arriving around 15 minutes early for your first class.
This gives you time to find the studio, meet your trainer, let them know it’s your first class and get settled without feeling rushed
Absolutely. Many people start Pilates because they want to build strength and help prevent future injuries. An old injury doesn’t necessarily mean you need to avoid movement. Building a stronger, more resilient body is incredibly important.
Let your trainer know about any injuries or limitations before class so we can guide you appropriately. If you’re currently injured or recovering from surgery, we recommend getting clearance from your healthcare professional first.
Yes. We have plenty of women who continue moving with us throughout pregnancy and return after having their baby.
Please let us know before attending so we can guide you towards the most appropriate class and make sure your trainer is aware.
No. Pilates suits every age. People in their 60s and 70s start as beginners here and get stronger, with better balance and posture.
Pilates meets your body where it is. In fact it's the perfect form of exercise that builds strength, flexibility and balance whilst being gentle on your joints. You are NOT old to start Pilates!
Absolutely. Pilates Haus is strength-based Reformer Pilates. We use springs, dumbbells and progressive options to challenge your muscles and build strength.
And depending on the class you choose, you might definitely get sweaty!
Our focus is getting you stronger. With consistency, Reformer Pilates can help you build muscular strength, endurance and confidence in what your body can do.
We’re much more interested in helping you build a strong, capable body than promising “long, lean muscles.”
Everyone is different, but one of the first things many members notice is that they simply feel stronger and more confident in their movement.
Like any training, results come from consistency. Give your body time, keep showing up and focus on progress rather than a quick fix.
You may feel some muscle soreness after your first few classes, particularly if you’re new to strength training.
We generally recommend aiming for 2–3 classes per week if that works with your lifestyle.
But consistency matters more than trying to do everything at once. If one class a week is realistic for you right now, start there. Build a routine you can actually maintain.
We want you to decide that for yourself, which is exactly why we have our Intro Offer.
It gives you the opportunity to experience our classes, meet our trainers and see how Pilates Haus fits into your routine before choosing an ongoing membership.
Our Intro Offer is 5 classes for $60 and is the perfect way to experience Pilates Haus.
Use your five classes to try different class styles, trainers and times. Once you’ve finished your Intro Offer, our team can help you choose a membership based on how often you realistically want to train.
Your intro is valid for 21 days from when you book your first class.
That’s exactly what the Intro Offer is for. Five classes gives you a proper opportunity to experience Pilates Haus before deciding whether you’d like to continue.
Our advice? Don’t judge Pilates from one class. Give yourself a few sessions to become familiar with the Reformer, try different trainers and find the classes you enjoy.
Our popular class times can book out, so we always recommend booking ahead where possible.
You can book up to 14 days in advance, and our waitlists are worth joining as spots regularly become available.
